In 2011 world cup Pakistani team was in trouble and all over the world people and expert was thinking Pakistani team will not qualify for the super eight round but at the time Shahid Afridi was the captain of Pakistani Cricket team and his fight for his team bring out for the semi-final. His captaincy was looking very passionate. In October 1996 at the age of 16 Shahid Afridi was drafted into the One Day team throughout the four-nation Sameer Cup 1996–97 as a leg spinner as a replacement for the injured Mushtaq Ahmed. Boom Boom Afridi made his debut on 2nd October against Kenya, but he did not bat & went wicketless. In the next match against Sri Lanka, Boom Boom Afridi batted at number 3 in the role of a pinch-hitter. In his first international innings, Shahid Afridi broke the record for fastest century in ODI cricket, reaching his hundred from 37 balls. It was a big inning for him. Now he is only playing T2o format and as well playing in different leagues. He is the Hero of Pakistan and still he is very energetic and strong cricketer and that is why his fan following is huge and people love to see him in the ground. He is the icon of Pakistan.
